As part of an ongoing project that Rapid Image is carrying out for Asaf Medical, we were asked to develop an independent form-filling capability for clients.
The project was divided into two parts:
Sending the relevant forms with the appointment scheduling in Rapid Pro software. The client receives an email link immediately upon scheduling the appointment, containing a secure link to the relevant forms, which they fill out in a regular browser.
Kiosk stations in the clinic for filling out forms for clients who did not complete them at home.
We took the client’s request one step further and decided to replace the kiosk stations with iPad devices!
The receptionist marks the appointment in the calendar, selects that she wants to send a form for filling out, and all she has to do is choose which iPad device to send the form to.
The iPad device, which is connected to the Rapid server via a wireless network, updates with the new request and adds the client to the list of forms waiting to be filled out.
The form is filled out quickly and efficiently on the iPad, with text input done via the standard virtual keyboard.
This development significantly reduces the team’s handling of paperwork and the additional time spent on converting manual forms into computerized records.
We didn’t stop there. At Rapid, we always want to take things one step further.
We added a link to the new forms system in our surgery module, so when a client enters, for example, a health declaration, whether at home or on the clinic’s iPad, it is automatically captured in the surgery module without the need for scanning or retyping!
